This Account & Data Deletion Policy explains how you can delete your WhisperGuide account and what happens to your data after deletion.

How to Delete Your WhisperGuide Account
You may delete your WhisperGuide account directly inside the app.
Go to:
Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account
Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm deletion.
For security reasons, we may ask you to confirm that you are the account owner before processing the deletion request.

Delete My WhisperGuide Account
You do not need to include anything else, but it may help if you provide:
the username on your account, if you remember it;
whether you would like us to confirm deletion when it is complete.
What Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account, including:
your account profile information, such as name, username, and email address;
login credentials or password-related account records;
saved favorites;
saved routes or favorite routes, if applicable;
in-app preferences, such as language settings, selected categories, and voice preferences;
app usage history associated with your account, where reasonably possible;
support information directly tied to your account, unless we need to retain it for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or compliance reasons.
After deletion, you will no longer be able to log in with that account.
What We May Keep
We may retain certain information after account deletion if we are legally allowed or required to keep it. This may include:
purchase, transaction, subscription, tax, accounting, or payment-related records;
records needed to comply with legal obligations;
records needed to resolve disputes or enforce agreements;
information related to fraud, abuse, misuse, security incidents, or policy violations;
backup copies for a limited period before they are overwritten or deleted;
anonymized or aggregated analytics that can no longer reasonably identify you.
We do not use retained information to contact you for marketing after your account has been deleted.
How Long Deletion Takes
We typically process deletion requests within 30 days.
In many cases, deletion may be completed sooner. Some information may remain in backups, logs, or legally required records for a longer period before being deleted, overwritten, de-identified, or retained only as required by law.
Subscriptions, Passes, and Purchases
Deleting your WhisperGuide account does not automatically cancel a subscription billed through Apple App Store or Google Play.
If you have an active Monthly Subscription, you must cancel it through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings to avoid future billing.
Deleting your account also does not automatically create a refund. Refunds for purchases made through Apple App Store or Google Play are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies and applicable law.
If you only want to stop being billed but want to keep your WhisperGuide account, cancel the subscription instead of deleting your account.
Free Access
If you delete your account and later create a new one, free access, prior usage history, saved favorites, preferences, or previous account benefits may not transfer to the new account.
Once Your Account Is Deleted
After deletion:
you will no longer be able to log in with that account;
saved favorites and preferences associated with the account may be removed;
free access history and prior app usage may not transfer to a new account;
active paid access may not be refundable solely because the account was deleted;
subscriptions must still be canceled through Apple App Store or Google Play if they are active.
