How to delete your WhisperGuide account

If you'd like to delete your WhisperGuide account and the personal data associated with it, we've made the process simple. Just send us an email and we'll take care of the rest.

How to request deletion

Send an email to support@whisper-guide.com from the email address connected to your WhisperGuide account.

Use this subject line:

Delete My WhisperGuide Account

That's it. You don't need to include anything else, but it helps if you can briefly let us know:

  • The username on your account (if you remember it)

  • Whether you'd like us to confirm deletion when it's complete

What gets deleted

When we process your deletion request, we will permanently remove:

  • Your account profile (first name, last name, username, email address, password)

  • Your saved favorites

  • Your in-app preferences (selected categories, language settings)

  • Your usage history within the app

What we may keep

We may retain certain information after account deletion if we are required to keep it for legal, security, fraud-prevention, payment, or compliance reasons. This typically includes:

  • Purchase records — required for tax, accounting, and consumer-protection laws (typically retained for up to seven years).

  • Anonymized analytics — usage data that has been stripped of any personal identifiers and can no longer be linked to you.

  • Information related to fraud, abuse, or security investigations, if any are open at the time of deletion.

We do not use this retained information to identify you or contact you after deletion.

How long it takes

We typically process account deletion requests within 30 days of receiving them. In most cases it's much faster — often within a few business days. We'll send you a confirmation email when deletion is complete (if you asked us to).

A note on subscriptions and passes

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a paid subscription billed through Apple App Store or Google Play. If you have an active Monthly Subscription, please cancel it through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings before requesting account deletion, so you don't continue to be billed.

If you only want to stop being billed but keep your account active, just cancel the subscription — you don't need to delete your account.

Once your account is deleted

After deletion:

  • You will no longer be able to log in with your credentials.

  • Any free-tier usage (your 10 free story plays and 1 free route) will not transfer to a new account if you sign up again.

  • Active passes or subscriptions will not be refunded just because the account was deleted. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their refund policies.

If you'd like to use WhisperGuide again in the future, you're always welcome to create a new account.
